 Exp-2 : Exmaine the layout of motherboard (MB) fixed in the CPU

Objective:

Exmaine the layout of motherboard (MB) fixed in the CPU

Appartus required:

1. A Computer CPU

2. One Screw driver

Procedure:

1. Removed all the power supply cables and data cables attached from thee cabinet to various devices like, Monitor, Keyboard, Powersupply socket, etc.

2. Unmounted screws on the cover of CPU cabinet and found that there were many cables and connectors being used for connecting various input/output devices to the MB(ATX motherboard). It is the PCB which is centre of the computer where CPU, RAM/ROM (Memory), HardDisk Drive(HDD), Floppy Disk Drive(FDD), SMPS unit, Monitor, Keyboard, mouse, CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Drive(CDR/DVDR) are mounted or connected. There are many sockets available on the MB used to connect processors, clockchip, RAM/ROM, ports and various other external peripherals like keyboard, mouse, printer, network cables, etc.
